These programs are available as digital mp3 files that were copied onto a new USB drive purchased by the seller and can be played on a Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.0, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 computer, or Mac computer with OS X 10.3 or a newer operating system.  These mp3 files can also be copied to any portable MP3 Player such as the Luyin Portable MP3 Flash Drive Player (see photo), an iPod, smartphone, or converted to audio CDs with any computer equipped with a “CD or DVD Burner.”

How difficult is it to find a specific program series or episode that I like among so many programs?
A.
It’s usually quite easy.  If you like episodes from a favorite series, just locate the folder that’s home  for those programs.  For example, episodes from the Great Gildersleeve reside in a folder named Gildersleeve. Episodes from Dragnet can be found in a folder name Dragnet, etc.  Since the folders are displayed alphabetically, it’s easy to find them.
If you want to find one particular episode but you can’t remember what program series it’s from, just use your computer’s Search function to help find it for you.  For example, if you want to find “War of the Worlds” (1) go to
My Computer
or
Computer
, (2) right-click on your external hard drive, choose
Search
, (3) and enter just two words – War and Worlds.  In a few seconds you’ll find the original broadcast…

The episode’s name includes the air date, if known, and the name of the program.

What if my hard drive is damaged when it arrives?
A.
The hard drives are carefully packed before shipment and insured against damage in transit.  Your drive is guaranteed to arrive in working condition. If advised immediately that the drive isn’t working properly, I will cover the cost of the return and it will be replaced.

Can the external hard drive be used with a Mac computer?
A.
Mac computers running OS X can be used to play the audio files on the hard drive. Additional software can be installed (i.e. NTFS-3G [free], Paragon NTFS [$20], Tuxera NTFS [$32]) if you wish to use your Mac to write to the drive.
